So are we going to have pocket squares on 27th if we already placed the order?

I remember when they had Drakes ties on sale for $50 a few years back.

On a related note, no more Brioni at Harry's. Sales associate said the newer cuts didn't appeal to their customers.

And lastly, if you really like Dolce Gabbana, you should check out the outlet. They regular markdown to 85%+ off retail. I bought a beautiful Tom Fordesque linen SC for $200, down from $2K.

Any suit?

Do you remember what streetwear brands they carried, @Chambertin?

I can't add much to what rwtc said, other than they had Lanvin.  I feel like there were some Japanese brands too but can't be specific.

I wound up checking the store out yesterday, and I approve of the contemporary designer section.

A few brands make their Toronto debut (J.W. Anderson, Lemaire, Public School). Other highlights include Marni, Yohji Yamamoto, Norse Projects and DRKSHDW. Other popular brands like APC and Acne Studios are present.

I saw several Allen Edmonds shoe boxes lying on the ground, so I assume they carry it there too. Yet I couldn't find any on display. Sneaker-wise, they also have a couple of models from Filling Pieces.

The lack of AE was confusing. They definitely had Allen Edmonds belts on display.

Anyone knows how to get Charles Tyrwhitt shirts in Canada at the best cost?

I love to see more local brands around and these guys put a great deal of effort into it. Their loafers look really decent and I'm tempted to try. Other than those, they seriously need to work on the last of the lace-ups, especially around the toes.

If I had known about their loafers earlier in the summer, I might have given them a chance. I don't understand why their more business-y captoes are derbies as opposed to oxfords, though. But each pair is made to order, so I think on an earlier post they actually said that there may be some opportunity to tweak a pair, but that might only have been with respect to colour.

Hi Gentlemen,

This is a Cross Post from our thread, but I thought it would be relevant to others in Toronto:

Sorry for the short notice, but we just pulled this together last week. We're going to be having our Grand Opening for our Downtown Toronto shop this Thursday (Sept. 22/16) from 5-9 pm. Yes, yes we know, we've been open for a few months now, but we never had the opportunity to kick it off properly.

We'll be having some food, drinks a sneak peak at the new items coming from the JV Zegna factory and small gift bags. All our staff will be attending, so you can meet the team and we are open to answer any questions and engage in some great conversation.

If you're interested in attending, please RSVP to events@spierandmackay.com. As it is a private event, we do require you to be added to our guest list prior to the event. You can bring up to two guests.

Come for a drink, say Hi, see some fantastic MTM and OTR pieces from our new factory - the quality is spectacular and check out the new shop!

Cheers,

Rick

Happening right now. No discount on MTM during events anymore, but I think they're offering free surgeon cuffs or something.
