Spent a little time checking out Nordstrom today, here's what I saw ...
Highest quality shoes were the Santoni fatte a mano (orange sock) at $875. There was also the glued Santoni stuff at $800. The one pair of fatte a mano was blake (two pairs total, didn't bother looking at the other) .... so interpret "fatte a mano" with a grain of salt
Lots of nouveau riche stuff like Prada & Gucci. They also had To Boot New York & Common Projects ($600-700... standard pricing). A pair of TBNY high top sneakers is priced at $500.
Shoe polishing is $3.50 for one boot, so $7 for a pair. A typical dress shoe is $2 or something, so ~$4 a pair. Was told you can get them to do whatever you wanted as long as they have the material to do it. So you can get them to do burnishing on your oxfords for ~$4/pair.
Best suits were Corneliani ($1700 - $2500), Canali, and Pal Zileri. No Zegna, Isaia, or Brioni. Was told they will stock Kiton "clothing" in the future. No more details atm.
They also had typical mall brands like Ted Baker (half canvas).
So ... Saks offers a better variety at the moment, since they have RLPL, Zegna, Isaia, and Charvet.
They also carried Vince, Burberry, AG, Wings & Horns, Rick Owens DRKSHDW, Acne studios, 7 for all mankind, Paul & Shark, Sand, Arcteryx, Mackage, and etc... you know the drill.
