The event completely slipped my mind. I had considered going but I wouldn't be able to make it over until after 8pm.

When I do get them, I'll update you .

Did you receive your bespoke shoes from Peter Feeney? I'd be interested in what you think about them.

Hi Toronto SFers. As well as being an SF member, I'm also a doctoral candidate in Communication & Culture who is carrying out a sociological research project looking at forums like this one. I've interviewed 48 people so far and I'm looking to carry out 2 more interviews in Toronto to make it 50. There's a research incentive ($50), it only take around an hour and I'll travel anywhere in the city to interview you. You can see from this thread that I started a while back that a couple Toronto members have met and can vouch for me. Please PM if interested. Thanks!

Not yet, I did the first fit about a month ago and adjustments had to be made. Will let you know when I do.

Saks on Queen Street will be holding a MTM event for suiting during April 6th and 7th. Representatives from Corneliani, Ermenegildo Zegna, Isaia, Armani Collezioni and Lutwyche will be present to conduct sizing and MTM suiting orders, Lutwyche founder Tony Lutwyche will be present as well to take measurements!

Corthay and their representatives will also be present during those two days for those who wish to conduct MTO orders. Patina customization and exotics can also be ordered during the event. This is a great opportunity for those curious about their Corthay shoe size as there will be several different sample models to try on, as well as existing stock. Sizes range from 7-12.

Sounds awesome! I take it the downtown Saks and not the Sherway one right?

Might drop by on the 6th during lunch. Good info, thanks for sharing.

Just some quick clarifications on my earlier post:

- It'll be at the Queen St. Saks, not the Sherway Gardens location.

- The Corthay rep will likely not be around during the morning of the 6th (come in the afternoon if you can!), but will be there all day on the 7th.

- While exotics can be ordered, skin samples are not available in person due to legal reasons.

If anybody else has any other questions in relation to the event, feel free to ask.

That's correct. I updated my last post to indicate this.

No problem! Perhaps you'll see me wandering by the Margiela racks that day.

Anyone have any good sources for no-show loafer type socks? Should be on the dressier side when wearing double-monks or loafers in the summer.

Hey there,

One of the brands I work with (and currently offer at our shop) makes a nice no-show sock but stock comes in closer to summer. I wasn't planning on offering it but if there's enough interest here in Toronto, I could put in an order through. Here's a picture of them.

This would be great, and I definitely would think there would be enough interest - quality no-show socks are hard to find as I'm experiencing!

Sucks that it's in Montreal! Although would be worth the drive.
