I just read this thread, which I found interesting: http://www.styleforum.net/t/380110/fresco-suit-battle-tobacco-brown-vs-wheat-tan/0_60
What are everyone's thoughts on brown linen/fresco suits in Toronto? If any of you have them, do you get much use out of them?
I'm considering a brown linen sport coat or blazersuit for summer. Or possibly Minnis fresco, based on the high praise it gets in the unfunded liabilities thread.
Generally speaking, I don't see much brown around downtown. I also don't really see much seasonal fabric around in terms of fresco, linen, or cotton. 95% of people just seem to wear their worsted wool year round.
Somebody recently posted a Spier and MacKay Brown Herringbone suit with tassel loafers (can't find the post now). I thought that looked pretty great, even though I despise tassel loafers. The fit was consistently casual (albeit with a white shirt).
I'm thinking its probably better to just get a medium blue fresco, quarter-lined, which I think is slightly more formal and I could wear it to a broader variety of functions without looking underdressed.
