Neat site.

Really like the materials used for the ties, but don't like that they are all 3" or less. :/

I emailed them if they can do a local pickup or something of that sort, waiting to hear back.

 Hi Brendan,

Our prices are in CAD and we keep our inventory in Mississauga so that would be the pick up location if that works for you. Otherwise you can put the order through the site and we will ship it to you.

Not really Toronto, unfortunately....

...said the guy from Markham wink.gif

But this means there really isn't a store front, I guess? Only 'by appointment' sort of thing?

Funny man haha. Looks that way, but hey, free shipping over $75 (or $100, shipping page says $75 but banner on top says $100). Not to mention Knottery doesn't sell grenadines anymore.

Guys, its clearly a home based business.  Just treat it as online only.

Do they have a return policy if you don't like it?  Find that out first from them...    You can ship it back for like $3...  I don't see a big risk here...

Anybody going to the Samuelsohn event at Harry Rosen on Bloor this Saturday? Rep from Samuelsohn will be there.

Looks like they may not have been expecting everyone all at once...

Completely random and irrelevant question - but have any of you other Toronto guys seen anyone wearing tassel loafers in the city? I work in the financial district and have been paying attention to shoes for the past couple of years since I've discovered these forums. Although tassel loafers seem to be hugely popular on style blogs nowadays, I can't remember the last time I've seen anyone in Toronto wearing a pair... Perhaps local blokes only wear them outside of work.

I think I've seen American business travellers wear Alden/AE/chunky tassel loafers from time to time... but I can't say I've seen anyone wear anything remotely european-lasted in tassel loafer form.

Keep your eyes peeled, I'll be sporting them come warmer weather. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

seems to me to be the business equivalent to boat shoes. I mean you'd either have to have some serious Italian flair or be a bit of dandy/fashionista, which I don't see too much of around in the CBD of downtown. I'm not there all too often but Bay street doesn't strike me as being a place that pushes the limits.

If you're contemplating wearing tassel loafers with a suit in the financial district my suggestion: don't.

I'm with you on this one. In fact, I don't think I'd wear tassel loafers at all, just not my style. I think the last two responses probably explain it, in that in this area it's mostly suits and conservative dress. I could probably wear a pair in my office, as no one is in a suit, although I do wear odd jackets and trousers. Still, I'd stick with a plain loafer if I were to choose one.

I feel like I saw more tassel loafers when working in the US, but that's probably an obvious observation.

I agree, I only wear my tassels when I'm wearing casual, sometimes chinos but mostly shorts.
