Yeah he makes some unbelievable shoes. I also love Fukudas work, although I have idea what he charges.
It is nice to have leatherfoot down the road that can for properly fit you for St. C. You can even wait for Carr to do it if you want.

Also I had the pleasure of meeting @borbor yesterday to pick up one of his custom ties. Very nice workmanship, a fantastic piece in my mind!

The only drawback I see is the added thickness to the sole. This is minimized when the topy is recessed properly.

I find my Barrie lasted shoes fit perfect, but wear big (if that makes sense). This causes me to chip away at the toes, requiring a topy and/or taps.

Harry Rosen outlet in Vaughan Mills has some very nice made in Italy peccary leather gloves, cashmere lined. They are Harry Rosen branded, appear to be a cognac or tobacco color and are down to 149.00 from 298. With an additional 25% off, all told (with tax) it's 127 or something like that. Downside is that they have only a small and large. Very nice gloves. Mississauga location have none.

Also they have a nice Paul Shark lamb suede perforated bomber in 42 or 44. I didn't look at the price since it didn't come close to fitting me. Nice simple bomber.

The outlet also had this sweater:

For those interested I ended up getting the C&J Tetbury in brown suede today. While there I also learned that the St. Crispin's trunk show is on Feb 19-20 and that Philip Carr will personally conduct the fittings.

Congrats, solid choice.

I had a pleasure meeting Philip during his last visit and he's good guy to talk to.

Thanks! I totally blew the budget for this month with all the sales going on and getting the Tetbury; it was the only one in my size and I'd hate to see the price go up in case our dollar depreciates even further.

As a PSA there is still a style of Cheaney's left at HR Men for $270 plus tax. It's not my style but a very good price for the quality. The sales associate was the most pushy I've ever encountered; he took the shoes right away after I tried them on and tried to ring them up haha!

Thanks! Now I'm just after a pair of sleek monkstraps with a rubber sole. I know Philip can do it but I'm not shopping in that price range though it would definitely be cool to meet him.

I noticed this opportunity to score some Church's shoes. I have no association with the seller; found this while surfing.

Not just Church's. Seal Church's. I think they look cool. But if I wear anything seal, my wife would club me.

Then I could be the shoes...

This is cool. Too large for me, otherwise I'd be tempted.

Didn't Dack's used to get their seal hide shoes contracted out to Church's (or Cheaney's, can't remember)?
