Thanks to the person for the Drakes 50% off recommendation. Found a beautiful navy patterned tie at First Canadian Place for $90 plus tax.

Good day gents,

I'm in the market for a new sportcoat. I've seen some beautiful ones at suitsupply which fit almost perfect (I tried on Havana/Hudson/Washington and all fit fairly similar) when I tried them on in-store (the sleeves need to be slightly lengthened though). However, the prices seemed quite high. For example, a sportcoat for $529? I'm not sure if that's reasonable. Regardless, do you guys know of any other places that have a good selection of sportcoats in the $400 range? For reference, I'm a slimmer man and 25 years of age (if that means anything).

Thanks guys.

What size are you? I have a Lazio two piece in VBC that I'm letting for for $400. Brand new with tags on, size 42R.

If you nailed your size in SS models you should search the B&S, Grailed, eBay etc as SS sport coats can often be found at discount.

I'm also selling a near new LBM 1911 chinolino sportcoat 38R if you want to check out my listing in the B&S.

Good luck with your search.

I have the same sport coat. This is a great deal.

I've been looking for an LBM 1911 style casual sportcoat. I'd go for that one, however I find that the LBM 1911 jackets fit me best in size 40 (EU50), although my usual size is 38. Also, I get that these are casual sportcoats, but how tall is everyone? At 6'2", I feel as if the 28.5" length is too short. I think I need at least a 30" length, and according to commonly cited techniques for measuring, I should really be wearing a 33"! Thoughts?

28.5 is too short for 6'2" imo. I'm just over 6' and that's pushing it I find.

That is a nice tie.   Was there much selection at the First Canadian Place location?  All the sale ties, in all styles and colours were marked with an "X" on the website yesterday and now there are no ties or pocket squares listed on the site today.  I wonder if this is a glitch?  There's no way all colours and all patterns of ties would sell out like this.

I noticed that too on their online site yesterday. There were quite a few ties actually at both Bloor and First Canadian. Not too many Drakes though. I actually bought a Drakes from Bloor first but visited First Canadian right after and liked the Drakes from there better.

Gentlemen, I received an email from Garrison about some kind of sample rack sale. I guess the stuff used for samples, TV shows that they supply etc. Suits in the $500 range, jackets ~$300, shirts ~$50 etc. Could be a miss, as I'm not exactly sample size, but who knows. Appointment by phone is needed and I scheduled myself at 1 PM tomorrow (Wednesday) as I am around anyways.

Now, it does say that it is for regular clients only, but... If they are strict about that and someone is interested, I suppose they wouldn't mind if I bring a friend or something  :stirpot:
