Hi there gents,
A number of my shoes have gone through the misfortune of meeting the rain we've been getting the last few weeks. As a result some of them are close to or already require a resole. B. Nelson is very well recommended but I would prefer to explore my local options first. Who would you guys turn to?
I've used Novelty for topys on several pairs of dress shoes and they have always done a good job. I also had them replace a topy and heel on a pair of shoes that had had heavy use over the past 3.5 years. They did a good job on that as well. Some people have said they didn't like the staff there, but I'm okay with them (as long as they continue to do good work).
Another thing worth pointing out is that Novelty carries Saphir and Colonil products, which can sometimes be difficult to find in Toronto.
The one thing that always surprises me is the sign on the awning of their shop. It's so old and worn it's barely legible. You would think that's something worth replacing, especially given their prime location for walk-by business at Yonge and Adelaide.
