Interesting design: a Derby Saddle shoe (don't think I've ever seen one).

You kept that one under wraps.

Are they fully bespoke (I presume so) or does 'il Quadrifoglio' offer some semi-bespoke service? Did you conduct it all via long distance or did you meet up with Kunai Atushi in Taipei?

These are full bespoke. I was measured by folks at the oak room in Taipei, then had the fitting shoes sent directly to me in the US. The fitters were pretty close, and I gave the best feedback that I could. We will see how they fit.

Excellent pricing on these and great service from the oak room.

Found this through Bengal Stripe. This company is remaking Russian reindeer (supposedly using the original recipe). Curious, I asked for a swatch a few months ago and just received it a couple of weeks ago. Thought I'd post photos here.

Don't think it's really for me, but maybe someone here will be interested. I think this is the red version. Can't remember if they still have brown, or if they're no longer making it, but it's advertised on their website.

That's funny, because C&J found it too (for this autumn/winter):

I'd assume they're using calf instead of reindeer, but damn, that's nice-looking.

Triple skin uses calf.
Baker (for C&J) uses ox.

Seeing Cleverley in a couple of weeks. Anyone have an opinion on their de Rede loafer vs a regular penny loafer?

Somewhat leaning towards suede, fwiw. Although Will's pigskin loafers also look nice.

An American who is considering tasseled loafers should be getting the Alden cordovan models - Either Brooks or regular. Otherwise, over the wall with you.

Isn't there room for both?

Forgot to add, if I get de Redes, they won't be the original chisel toe model. They'd be round toe.

RJ says this will make them camp mocs, but I don't really think the chisel toes are for me.

Well as close as possible given circumstances. My fault for not being able to go back for the final fitting. Shoes fit pretty well though I have to say!
