I’m a growing kid who just underwent a growth spurt and I need to find some new pants. I tend to dress better than most of my generation, although in a casual way compared to an office job, and in a somewhat “hipster” fashion. I have a waist of just shy of 77 cm or just over 30 inches, and an inseam from ground to crotch of 86 cm which should translate to about a 33 inch inseam, although I have found some pants labeled 34 to run even a little short. I’m 6’0”, and just under 140 lbs. I tend to wear a lot of sweaters or sometimes sweatshirts with slim fit jeans or corduroys, and I’m a pretty skinny dude.

I’m looking for pants which are slim and don’t widen at the ankles, or at least not excessively, as I ride a bike almost everywhere, I live and breathe cycling, and pants which are wide at the ankles tend to be a source of frustration when riding. Often times I roll the legs up when riding to keep them away from the chainring, but beginning with skinnier ankles would be better.

I have 2 pairs of Prana “Breathe” corduroy pants, I’m not sure of the specific model, in 28x34, which are now too small in both waste and length, which I believe I bought 2 years ago. I also have a pair of Prana “Breathe” jeans which I purchased at the same time, in the same size (28x34) which still fit well. It almost seems as if the corduroys have shrunk in the last month or so although that seems unlikely. I wouldn’t say that I fit most of the styles of prAna pants, but I did like these pairs, and I would like to be able to find a pair of the corduroys in a 30x34, which is hard without knowing the model, which does not appear to be shown on the pants.

So what I’m asking is, what are some good brands, and models, of casual pants which fit these characteristics, and won’t break the bank? Ideally to be found at less than $30 on sale. Also, I’d rather go a little long than a tad short. Thanks.

Sorry about the length. I’m new here, but I’ll pick up on the ways soon enough.
