The Suits of Spectre (2015), the latest Bond film

The crappy Tom Ford suits don't ruin the rest of the movie. Skyfall was excellent, but boy the suits were pretty awful. They don't look any better in this new film, unfortunately.
The fit may have been off in Skyfall, but I wouldn't classify Tom Ford suits as crap. Also, I'd say that the fit we've seen so far of SPECTRE is better than that of Skyfall; not as fitted through the mid, less of a cropped look and the shoulders aren't as narrow.
The script leaked was an early draft, apparently, much different to the finished product.

Craig's TF clothing, from QoS onwards (including that film), have been universally bad. Ill-fitting ugliness.
It's all opinion man.

I don't see any faults with the QoS suits and they seem to be the most well received as well. What do you not like about them?

No one is saying Tom Ford suits are crap, they are saying the fit of these particular Tom Ford suits on Daniel Craig is atrocious, which makes them look like crap.

These may look a teeny, tiny, almost indistinguishable bit better than those in Skyfall, but they are still unbelievably bad looking. Not only from a fit perspective, but from a taste perspective as well. A black self-stripe peak lapel suit? *shudder*

QoS was indeed better than Skyfall, but still pretty bad. Daniel Craig's suits haven't looked decent since Casino Royale.

I will say the casual-wear has been pretty good for the most part in the last few movies.

As has been mentioned by others, I do think Brioni did an excellent job of suiting Bond. Not just in Casino Royale, but all the Pierce Bronson films seem quite sartorially sound as well...

Question,

Lots of people have shat on the suits, which is perfectly fine. I think the suits are pretty good but I understand the criticisms

My questions is though, what is the IDEAL fit/style that y'all want to see Bond wear? The Brioni joints from Casino Royale or something else?

Pics definitely appreciated.

I just rewatched On Her Majestys Secret Service. George Lazenbys suits are cut great. His dinner suits are ok style wise(ruffled shirt?) but I totally forgot just how good he looked and how great his suits were tailored.

Sorry no pics, you have to watch to see yourself

I don't think this is "Bond", I would bet money that the peak lapel suit in Rome is a disguise. Similar to the kilt in OHMSS. It's too much of a stylistic break from everything else we have seen DC in as Bond. The suit seen in Mexico City will probably be the model Bond wears in the movie (unfortunately still the Skyfall look).

I think Lazenby's suits were tailored by Connery's tailor, Anthony Sinclair, hence they were top notch. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Lazenby's suits in On Her Majesty's Secret Service were made by Fulham tailor Dimi Major. Lazenby supposedly went to Sinclair to get a suit for his Bond audition.

^ Ah. I knew there was a Sinclair suit in there somewhere. Thanks for the correction, though. Dimi Major clearly did a good job with Lazenby.

Check my blog in a couple weeks for an interview I did with Dimi Major's son, who still operates the firm. I learned some fascinating things from him.

Interesting thought--I could see that.

That's your blog!? I read that all the time, and had no idea... looking back, I should have expected it would be someone from SF.
