My favourite is 'The Living Daylights' because I managed to get into the World Premiere (friend's dad works at Pinewood). The film itself wasn't great but the whole experience made up for it.

Overall I thought Craig's costumes in Spectre was...contemporary? for the lack of a better, less harsh word, pretty much everything felt too tight and I could hardly imagine him manoeuvring without having to unbutton...which is kinda weird seeing how the film felt as campy in style as some of the classics

Spectre was pretty crappy for me, you can actually read my review here..https://theplusones.com/sydney/2015/11/14/spectre-review/

My personal Modern Craig series ranking would be
1. Casino Royale
2. Skyfall
3. Spectre
4. QOS

^ That's because you are not me. I enjoyed DAD, but yes, it's one I consider less good overall.

The ice palace-climbing invisible car shattered all suspension of disbelief for me.

Those are lesser moments in that film, to be sure, but there's plenty of good moments there for me to enjoy as well.

Absolutely. The villian with diamonds embedded in his face and the invisible car and the duel in the ice palace were very low points.

I've been led to read the books now. Anyone have any to rec in particular?

How is the reading coming along?
Live and Let Die was the first of the Bond books I remember reading and it was well written.
I should read them again myself as they would probably all be new to me over again.
