Career Opportunities (both versions)
Pressure Drop (although Toots & the Maytals version may be superior)
Straight To Hell
Lost In The Supermarket
Clampdown

I should add also The Right Profile and Jimmy Jazz.

The Guns of Brixton

great opening bassline.

I've got a soft spot for Rudie Can't Fail and the aforementioned The Right Profile.

Once again, nearly impossible. Another group that is among the greatest. London Calling, Straight to Hell, Train in Vain, and on and on. I have an anthology collection that is one of the best anthologies ever and can truly say I like every single song. Like the Stones, my fave happens to be the particular Clash song I'm listening to at the moment.

Good call on Right Profile. For some reason, I've always hated Jimmy Jazz.

I wonder why they never get as much love as the rest of the groups which I would consider "the greatest". I know that they were the first group that I ever really got into and agree with you that it is difficult, especially in the first three albums, to find a bad song.

Safe European Home, Train in Vain, Spanish Bombs, Koka Kola, Rudie Can't Fail...

All of London Calling, I guess. It reminds me of 10th grade.

The Magnificent Seven
Janie Jones

Death or Glory - he who fucks nuns, will later join the church.

I'm wondering how many who profess a love of the Stones, the Clash, et al. are now middling conservative curmudgeons who yell at youngsters.

I think the Clash got that phenomenon. Death or Glory is pretty much the story of it.

favorite song is probably The Call Up.

My nieces accuse me of being a curmudgeon and they're probably right.
When I hear a current pop or hip hop song where the hook is lifted from an 70's or 80's song and lame vocals are laid down over it, I just sneer at them.

If I could wipe my mind clean of 15 years of classic rock radio and the soundtrack of every other movie located in the UK, London Calling. Otherwise, Clampdown or Death Or Glory.

I submit The Card Cheat as a darkhorse. Kinda rocks...
