I'm about 6'3 and had the same problem. Initially the inseam was about 33.5" and I did the "step on the crotch/ass and pull the legs" a few nights in a row when I first got them. That stretched it out to about 34.5" and now I just wear them a little low... and with boots rather than low-tops.

I've been wearing mine three or four times a week since late September or early October. There's not a whole lot of wear though there might be a little bit more than these pictures let on. I like the fit more and more as time goes on and the denim gets a little looser and softer. (Sorry for the sloppy presentation-- ie, hem tucked into shoe. Didn't realize until the pictures had been taken and I don't really feel like retaking them now. )

Can someone give me measurements of their size 30 5epxsf jeans. I have some store credit at denimbar and really like these jeans but am not sure if a 30 will fit since they are obviously out of stock in a 31. I can wear a 30 in most jeans and a 29 in APC Rescue. The APC's probably could have gone down to a 28 but I dont believe a 28 is available in the Rescue. ANyway if anyone could give some measurements of a size 30 it would definitely help me with my decision. I was looking for waist, thigh, rise, knee and hem measurements if possible. Thanks guys.

I've posted it about 500 times. Here's 501:

Well I seen that chart already but was hoping someone could give actual measurements of their jeans. I was told a 30 measures 32.3 or something in the waist. Then I seen that chart which says 30 almost exactly. Needless to say I am very confused therefore I asked that ques. I didn't mean to tick you off be coming off as lazy and not searching.

Just buy your normal size. I sized up and regret it.

The Rescue is available in 28. I got my pair from Denimbar in Arlington.

FWIW I normally wear a size 30 as well (Nudie, KMW, 5EP SDZ, mall brands) but I had to go with 31s in the 5EPxSF. I tried on the size 30 but the thighs were just too small (22-23" for me). I just got my SF jeans back from hemming so I haven't had a chance to really wear them yet.

I live in Pennsylvania. Does anyone know of any places that do chainstitching? I'd be willing to ship the jeans too and are you supposed to wait until after the first wash before you get them hemmed?

The baby is in the pot. Repeat. The diver has gone in for a swim. Photos to come.

Another detailed journey. I received my pair on the 18th of September making this almost 7 months without a wash. I wore them in a several-jean rotation the first couple of months and then wore them nearly exclusively the rest. They were worn maybe 4-5 days a week, usually on the weekends or in the late afternoons after I'd get back in from the hospital. They've done a fair bit of hiking, went through a few tropical downpours, and sat through some boring-ass lectures. Did a hot soak with Bronner's for 20 mins and then rinsed cold. Didn't really see a lot of indigo loss in the water but I definitely had blue fingernails after hanging them up to dry. Pulled on the legs to try to preserve length so the after-shots look nearly crease-free. Left them to dry overnight and they feel like absolute cardboard this morning. Haven't dared to put them on yet but I'll report back. Measurements: forgot to do them before (d'oh) but I believe the waist had stretched out from the given 32.75" to 34". I now measure them to be 32.5". Don't know if the inseam was a true 34" (it felt shorter) but it's now at 32.5". On to the photos. Before: Inside fades... Indigo water... After:
