Most people who wore 5EPs got the resin rinsed ones. Since these are raw, they're fading faster.

So the indigo from my 5Ep x SF jeans stained a white shirt I had tucked in. I haven't been wearing the jeans long enough to get any real wear patterns going, but I need to rinse them just enough so that they won't stain my shirts. What's the procedure? Just a quick cold-water dunk in the bathtub? A 10 minute soak? Do I need to use any detergent?

if you want minimal shrinkage do a cold soak for a couple of hours. then hang dry. if you want max shrinkage do a hot soak for 2-4 hours, then hang dry. if you go the hot soak route, make sure you try them on before they totally dry. that way you'll be able to get them on later.

Here are mine, forgot to take the filter off of the camera, which makes it a bit grainy. Taken with Nikon D1 and a 60 microlens, I'll get detail shots with this lens once the denim starts breaking in. Looking at th epictures again, I really need to get a flash.

Height 6'3, weight 175-180
Size 34, figure I am nearly a true 34 (34 in SC too big, 34 in Earnest sewn a bit snug, 34 in edwins way too big)

When I bought them they were just perfect in waist, now a bit big, still a bit tighter around my knees then I would like/prefer.

25 in new standard, 26 in new cure, 27 in slim jim-28 in 5epxsf? i want a slim, fitted look like briansd's jeans.....btw, all these sizes that i wear are extremely to very tight initially, but they stretch to tight, but definitely nothing like april 77s or cheap mondays...definitely less tight

You probably want a size 28. One guy who wears a size 28 in nearly everything, and a 26 New Standard found the 28s too tight, and had to go up to a size 29. The jeans are extremely unforgiving at the smaller sizes.

alright, ive been thinking about these for a while and i think im going to pull the trigger.
they just look too perfect to pass up and ive loved godmothers work ever since i saw how brians pair faded but the cuts never suited me. these look much more my taste and i just love everything else. wrangler coin, donut buttons, the red string, blue j stitch, american design made in japan, hidden rivets i mean i cant resist any longer. plus id be lying if i didnt admit that having 1 out only 200 jeans is pretty freaking neat. and i love fok and the steez.

but i have a few questions/concerns...

In short, the small sizes are cut for skinny guys, the larger sizes seem to be cut less "skinny" and more "slim".

so if the top block fit but the rest of the leg were too loose couldn't you just make a visit to the tailor? judging from the way these are fitting everyone im sure the leg will be too loose (in my waist size) so i will be taking the leg in a bit. i mean i dont think i could deal with a leg opening larger than 7.5 inches

and exactly how much stretching and eventual shrinkage should i expect?

and jason and brian if youre listening: how do these compare with the cut on your californias? becasue i was about to finally get a pair but im going with the 5ep instead.

Yeah, that should be no problem. My issue was the opposite, my legs were too large compared to my normal waist size, and the top block is a lot harder to tailor than the legs are.

Pull the trigger, the jeans are amazing!
