Is everybody on August vacation or something?

Thanks.

Maybe I'll start talking to myself in this thread again.

Big news today is that Barzani's term has ended as the KRG parliament wasn't able to come up with an emergency provision. Media is eerily quiet about it.

Meanwhile garbage continues to pile up in Lebanon, maybe that explains Alan's absence?

Looks like Erdogan is really going for another election to get his powers at the presidential level. The currency market has also shown what it thinks of his ambitions.. Lira down 2.7% for the day..

Unless the moderates and/or druze in the area are capable of pushing the regime out and holding the area against IS with silent Israeli support, I'd say there is very little chance that the IDF would let itself get drawn into the conflict like this..

Garbage habibti. Garbage.

Hopefully not but using live ammunition on protestors isn't exactly a step in the right direction.

I do not think it would take half of every us citizens salaries. But if you want to save some syrian refugees start a gofundme project instead of supporting an idea with which a good many do not agree. Your country is already in debt up to it' ears.
