Belvest suit fiasco

Thread Starter
Regarding the earlier post http://www.styleforum.net/cgi-bin....;t=4416 about the individual on eBay ending his/her Belvest suit auctions early, I contacted eBay and what follows is the response they gave me.  I would encourage anyone with similar experiences to mine with this seller to go ahead and let eBay know.  Perhaps there would be a force with number. I really don't want anyone on eBay to lose money on transactions, but when I've listed items, if I start out low, I agree to sell what I listed, including the time I accepted a buyer's $1 for a pair of $175 shoes I sold. I would be interested if others hear back from eBay on this area. ----------------------- Hello, Thank you for taking the time to write eBay with your concerns. My name is Delaney and I'm happy to assist you further. We are concerned about violations on the site and have thoroughly investigated your report. In accordance with our site policies, we have found that there is not enough evidence to show that a violation has taken place. We understand your concern about this situation, and can reopen the investigation if any additional information can be provided. As you may know, we are unable to provide specific information regarding the result of our investigation to third party members. Please understand that this is for the protection of all eBay users. I am sorry for any frustration this situation has caused you. The most  common reason for an auction ending before the scheduled time is that the seller decided to end the auction early. We encourage sellers to  post an addition to the description of the auction explaining why they have ended the auction early. However, sometimes, sellers do not take our suggestion. Just as a storeowner can remove an item from her shelves at any time, sellers on eBay have the right to end their listings at any time prior to completion. While I know this policy can cause our buyers disappointment, we don't feel it's fair to force someone to sell an item they have decided not to sell after all. We appreciate your membership and thank you for your time.

In a similar vein, the majority of naked people are typically found to not be wearing clothes. Also, I have it on good authority that the most common reason people die is that they cease to be alive. And on a personal level, when I awake each morning, I find in fact I am no longer asleep (am I "weird" or are there others out there for whom this is also true??).
