Favorite Bryan Ferry/Roxy Music song?

A tough question, I know.

Bryan's rendition of "A Hard Rain's a-Gonna Fall" is one of my all time favorite songs.

Slave to love (repeat)

You're running with me
Don't touch the ground
We're the restless hearted
Not the chained and bound
The sky is burning
A sea of flame
Though your world is changing
I will be the same

Slave to love (repeat)
And I can't escape
I'm a slave to love

Can you help me? (repeat)

The storm is breaking
Or so it seems
We're too young to reason
Too grown up to dream
And the spring is turning
Your face to mine
I can hear your laughter
I can see your smile

Slave to love (repeat)
No I can't escape
I'm a slave to love

Brian Ferry? No thank you. I'd rather count sheeps.

I'm partial to Grey Lagoons. It's "a" favorite.

Virginia Plain? Editions Of You? Do the Strand? Street Life?--Definitely not snoozers. Neither is Pyjamarama, one of my personal faves I don't care too much for his solo stuff.

His cover of "It's My Party" from his very first solo album is a favorite, as is most of "For Your Pleasure" with Roxy and most of "Mamouna", on which he collaborated with Eno again.

I've been "rediscovering" Ferry lately. Let's Stick Together and Frantic are beautiful albums. So many great songs. His cut of You Go to My Head is so fresh when one realizes that shis song is reallly a "Standard". His "Take Me to the RIver" off of The Bride Stripped Bare might be better than the Talking Heads and Annie Lennox versions. Key word is might. I can't decide.

"Virginia Plain" is probably my favorite. I like the Brian Eno-era Roxy Music the best.

My preference is for the Brian Ferry era of Roxy Music. (The earlier Brian Eno era group isn't the same for my tastes.) My favorites are his versions of The Platters' Smoke Gets in Your Eyes or John Lennon's Jealous Guy.

We saw Brian Ferry solo in St. Petersburg (not Florida!) in October of 2000. When he sang Dylan's A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall, it brought down the (opera) house.

Love is the Drug takes up where Van Morrison's Wild Nights leaves off.

Now the Spring is turning
Your face to mine
I can hear your laughter
I can see your smile
