Buying new laptop

I'm looking to buy a new laptop and would appreciate some suggestions.

My preference is for something with decent speakers, windows vista, a screen no larger than 13 inches, lightweight, 2GB of RAM, and a price tag around $1000.

Does such a machine exist?

FWIW, I'll be using the laptop primarily for word processing and excel. I am also going to store all my music and pictures on it.

I just purchased a IBM/Lenovo T-61--But it has a 14.1 screen. Go to notebookreview.com and post your query they should be able to help! BTW I'm also looking for another with a 12 incher... Regards and good luck

+1 in the Thinkpad. The only problem is the speakers aren't that great. Use a headset if you want to listen to music. Check out slickdeals.net for deals on the Lenovo website. There's one recently for a 14" T61 for under $900.
