what has been the reaction of your coworkers at the station to these suits? i think many non-SFers conflate "slimness" with "well fitting." Those suits you have are slim but ill-fitting

time to ditch Bachrach...

Bachrach will only be worn on my trips to the airport... Unbuttoned

But my latest jacket was TM Lewin. Thoughts?

Would be great to see pictures with your hand down to judge if it's really short.

I have a similar problem. I went on a hardcore diet and dropped about 20 lbs. Fueled by my excessive reading here, I went out and purchased a couple of slim-fit suits. I thought I was a real baller. Fast-forward 2 years later, I am back to my original +20 weight and the suit jackets are not wearable. Time for either a new diet, a suit sale, or a good tailor.

I agree with everyone that you need to break down and get some suits that fit. Especially since you are on TV.

ps...it's just my opinion, but I think you might have a touch too much shirt sleeve sticking out as well.

I am going to post a picture of a suit I think fits me well (in both our worlds) tomorrow, I look forward to your feedback.

Sometimes I have a lot of cuff out, sometimes I have very little. Of course it depends on the suit, and if I am wearing underarmour (yeah underarmour outside on cold nights), I probably need to invest in some sleeveless underarmour that being said.
BUT I like the variety, I like showing some cuff some nights, and very little others.

Every suit I have posted thus far has been slim fit. This evenings broadcast I work a black 38 regular, that was not slim fit.
PLEASE TELL ME this has been the best fitting jacket thus far.

Still too snug, but yes, best fitting so far. And as I said in the message, a quick (but unrelated to fit) improvement would be to get collars large enough, or spread enough, to rest under lapels.

Like these bad boys:

As far as underarmor...just roll it up. If you wear sleeveless, your arms will get cold. I just roll mine up to mid forearm. But there are a few pictures of me on here where you can spot it sticking out from my shirt cuffs.

^ it doesn't look like it fits in the waist. lots of fabric pulling in that area

could we get some actual shots, taken from a distance in good lighting. (and at a level angle)

those newscast shots aren't very helpful

You are not a drop 12! this is what a drop 11 looks like:

Really though unless you are trolling you are obviously concerned about your appearance and it is very important for you in your work, you should bite the bullet max a credit card, take out a loan, whatever you have to do and drop 10K on say three decent suits and some shirts. Or you could also try and do something cheeky like get a clothing store or tailor to kit you out at a discount or for free because you are a celebrity.......The NBA is always trying that with me....

I don't think the black suit looks too bad.
Everything else looks a bit short and a bit too tight, but that is the general trend in this world at the moment, so as someone else has said, most layman will think those pieces fit well as they are "tailored". For the very fact you are not wearing a boxy sack of spuds, people will be giving you kudos.

But you're not really going to get the answer you want on here until you wheel out some obscure Italian RTW line or bespoke maker for us to comment on.

Instinctively, almost unconsciously, most here have no time for the likes of those brands you mention, so whatever piece you wore, you would get little praise. Sad but true.

Maybe try suit supply, I've never used them personally but seen some nice outfits in the threads on here.

I agree with jedwards that although these suits look too tight, they look "in fashion" and none of them are really so offensive as the double-breasted suit. Looks like you could pull it off well if it didn't fit so poorly. Follow David Reeves' advice and get a few tailored suits that fit you correctly.

That tie knot is too big but damn that suit looks killer!

I agree with others. Get a tailored suit. Where are you located? I'm sure someone can recommend you a place based on your location

This. Find a local tailor whose work is quality, barter exposure for clothing, and then conveniently pitch a piece to your producers about the tailor's role in the community

I can't be held accountable for how clients tie their ties but thanks for the compliment on the suit! This was actually the first fitting, looked even better finished.
