Thanks. That's a good comparison. They fit pretty similar. Maybe same upper thigh but a bigger lower leg. I'm wearing a size 29 in the chinos and they have a 7" leg opening.

They were $66 with my student discount.

Anyone know chinos with a 6.5-6.75 leg opening? Tailoring isnt an option were i live..

Leg opening depends on your waist size, I wear 32 in the waist and both the J Crew Classical and Topman's "Slim fit chinos" have exactly 16,5" leg opening (I've measured both myself). If you are interested in the J Crew ones, I got this table from J Crew Support:

Heritage Research JFK chinos have a 6.75 hem.

I bought a couple pairs of these in France:

They fit fantastic for a thin guy looking for a slim cut. Quality isn't bad either. 

 

Haven't been able to find them in the U.S. though... anyone seen em?

Just bought two pairs of Alpha khakis from Dockers. One gray and one brown. I'm a size 32 in the Waders from UO they had about a year ago. Same size I assume? I've heard the Alphas run a bit large...? Used coupon code "leapyear" for 29% off. Each pair was like $42 (from $59). Works through Wednesday I assume.

^belts by Epaulet are a good fit at 1.25 inches single prong or the double at 1.5 inches.

I think canvas would be fine. Or you can try wool. It would be better if they have pattern on it. Also it depends what you wear on you upper body I think.

Carhartt Sid Pants are excellent quality and have a great slim fit. The taper is much sharper than it looks in most of the photos.

I just received a pair of the Rugby University Chinos in British Taupe. A few weeks ago Rugby had the ugly orange version of the pants on sale for $30 so I bought those and exchanged them for the not-on-sale British Taupe for no extra charge. Seems like a neat trick if you want to give it a try in the future. It worked for me.

I ordered them TTS and I really like the fit, let me know what you guys think.

anyone think these W+H westpoint chinos look ok ? Waist is spot on 30" with inseam of 30". Should I go for the newer pairs with 31-32 inseam.. ? These are sorta riding a bit high lol
