Looks like Apple is giving a $100 store credit to the early adopters of the iPhone.

I'm a proponent of holding massive amounts of music ( I have two external hard drives filled ONLY with music, we're talking at least 400gb of music, well over 100,000 songs in MP3, FLAC or OGG), but I have to say, I could easily make do with only 16gb of storage because of the fact that I go through certain moods of music. I add and subtract things from my 30 gb iPod all the time and I never once thought that I needed more space. I seriously couldn't imagine requiring over 16 gb of stuff that I have to listen to RIGHT NOW. I could probably make do with 5gb, even, because there' never more than 5gb of music that I feel like listening to at any given time. That said, I have a 5G iPod and there's no reason whatsoever for me to upgrade. But I still love it. It's a fantastic toy.

Hahaha way to go Steve Jobs for buttfucking your legions of early adopting zombie fanboys! Ahhh think different. I love Apple, but what I love even more are the morons who drool all over the company thinking that by buying their overpriced garbage they are making some sort of statement. Yeah, and Starbucks is doing good for the environment tearing up thousand year old trees in South America replacing them with coffee...."but...we are replacing life with life!" BAHAHAHA

the one reason why i got an ipod back in 2002 or so, 2nd gen. because as a college student at the time and also someone who inherited tons, i mean tons (i was a music director at my radio station), i had thousands of cds, and while i don't mind cds, it was the move every fucking year with these billion boxes of cds that i hated. and even now, i always buy the biggest capacity ipods because i'd always rather have too much than too little, and i never want to carry boxes of cds around ever again. ever.

Yea, I feel the same way. I dont have thousands of CDs (more like a few hundred), but I keep my entire music library on hard drives. I use my iPod as a more temporary device, where I'll just transfer a few GB at a time of whatever kind of music kick I'm going through + the necessaries that I always want to listen to. I've never felt like I didn't have enough space (at 40gb), but I certainly understand your point of view.
