does anyone have any experience with memory foams like tempur-pedic. i have trouble sleeping and i need something that will make a difference?

i'd love if someone could recommend a brand they found to be particularly comfortable.

Tempurpedic is the bomb. Sleep like a.. SIDS baby. It doesn't bounce at all so it might not be so good for someone with your username.

Tempur Pedic is very nice despite all the over marketing/hype etc. As along as you have your AC on and it's cool in your room it's very sweet. The only negative is it can get warm if you stay in one spot all night. Solutions are to have the central air on or just take the covers down to one sheet.

I just got a free king sized memory foam mattress topper. I've been using it, but am not sure whether I like it or not. I really think I prefer the hard-ass futon underneath it. I've only had it for like three days though, so I'll give it a week when I get back. Otherwise... craigslist!

I have a Tempurpedic pillow and my work sells a lot of their matresses and such.

They are great great products, a bit expensive.....and will get hot easy. As said already, crank the AC and enjoy!

BUT......if you are one of those people that enjoys a very firm mattress, they might be your cup of tea.

After researching all the available brands of memory foam mattresses a few years ago (now I can't seem to get off Tempur-Pedic's mailing list!), my wife and I decided on the Sonno line sold by Design Within Reach:

We are very happy with the mattress (it replaced a more traditional one).

The only problem with memory foam is that it tends to sleep slightly warm. That is not so bad if you do not tend to be warm at night to.

Natural latex? How does that work?

Hated it and returned ours. Bought the hardest, best quality futon I could find instead and am very happy.
