reference books on watches

Is there a book that covers the various important movements, manufactures, watch designs, etc.? I know it's all on Tz in one form or another, but I'd like an organized book that I can flip through away from the computer.

I don't know about something that detailed in terms of the techinal features. But, I really love "Watches" by Reybaud that Assouline published.

You can either buy a watchmaking book (which goes through all the details of movements and different types of escapement or balance, etc...) [e.g. "Watchmaking by George Daniels or "Practical Watch Repairing"]

or a general book on watches of different brands (which will show some pictures of movements, but generally focused on current offerings). "Montres-Bracelets" is a good example of the latter. I like the Assouline edition mentioned by Socal too. Very pretty book.

The "Wristwatch Annual" is also a decent reference and it shows various movements from the most common manufactures. Not comprehensive by any means.

"Wristwatches. Armbanduhren. Montres-bracelets" by Gisbert L. Brunner and Christian Pfeiffer-Belli.

Edit: the above book's publisher is Konemann.
For high quality pictures (and short history of each major brand) I suggest The Watch by Gene Stone.
