For your consideration is a pair of lightly worn black wholecuts with medallion toe and channeled soles, handmade by Grenson for the "Stuart's Choice" line from Paul Stuart. These were purchased several years ago at the New York store, when Stuart's Choice was the top of the line option. They appear to use the same last, medallion, and craftsmanship as the current top of the line "Ltd. Edition" option - see this balmoral, which currently retail for almost $1500.

As you can see, these are lightly worn and well cared for. I did install and later remove a chintzy pair of toe taps, which left a mark on the sole but did their job well enough that they show virtually no toe wear when viewed from the front or sides. The black calf is beautiful and can take an extreme mirror shine if you have an hour or so to polish them up - I've done it before but couldn't muster the energy for this sale posting. I've recently transitioned from Biglaw attorney to stay-at-home father, with all the attendant lifestyle and wardrobe changes, and can no longer dedicate whole afternoons to shoe maintenance. I have the original Paul Stuart shoe bags, but not box. I can ship with a nice Ralph Lauren or Alden box.

As for fit, they state 9.5D but fit like a 9D on the Alden Plaza last or Crockett & Jones 337 last. In fact, I would say they are very, very similar in shape and fit to the C&J 337 in 9D (US) / 8D (UK) size. For further reference, I am a true 9D and take
- 9D in Alden Hampton, Plaza, and Leydon lasts
- 9D in Allen Edmonds Park Avenue
- 9D in C&J 325 last (used for Ralph Lauren Marlow and Darlton)
- 9D in C&J 337 last
- 8.5D in Alden Barrie, Tru-Balance, and Grant lasts

Beautiful shoes, I'm a big fan of the Grenson Masterpiece Stuart's Choice shoes.

To be clear, the pair you are selling was made by Grenson, while the Ltd. Edition pair you linked to is made by Gaziano & Girling and retails for about twice as much as the Grenson made Stuart's Choice. Different lasts and makers.
