There's been no lack of pundits explaining rulings from the Canadian Supreme Court on this topic. Apparently one cannot give consent to bodily harm that is more than minimal or momentary. I guess a lightly applied nipple clamp is fine but if it left marks you've crossed the line? A light smack in the face that only leaves a momentary redness is acceptable but one that blackens an eye is not? Part of the hypocrisy of this is that folks who were always about, "Keep the government out of my bedroom" are now suddenly all about defining boundaries within the bedroom. The preceding is based on consent and Jian obviously has accusers stating he did not get consent.
