Unexpected encounters with celebrities - Page 140

The name of the website that the photo comes from is funny. It reminds me of that r&b group Xscape. (Or my students, who like to write "per say.")

I was going to add that I didn't know who those people were. But I genuinely don't know who those people are, and I feared my remarks would not be taken at face value, owing to recent events.

I met Fabio Cannavaro as I was walking out of the airport in Dubai. Saw him yelled Canna walked up shook hands shared a joke and took a pic. My gf thought it was an old friend I was walking up to till she saw me take a pic. Worst thing about that pleasant encounter is that I had an iphone4s and a Nikon camera but took the pic with my crappy old blackberry. I should have asked him about that strange deal that saw him leave Inter for Juve in exchange for their 3rd crappy goalie and nothing else!

He's a former World Player of the Year, World Cup winner as well.

Quite famous globally, but since international soccer is not so popular here, he wouldnt be noted. He is actually very famous, unlike most of the G list wannabe posted here lately.

I think I've written it in this thread before, but I've seen Pierluigi Collina at the airport di Pisa. So in that matter I win (I however did not share jokes with him).

I'm oblivious to sports. I never know who any athletes are.

He played for Inter ,Juve and Parma ( in their glory days) along with Napoli. He was the captain of Italy NT during the world cup of 2006 which they won and he was the best player in that tournament. He also played for Real Madrid, so as far as footballers he was one of the best. He also models for an Italian company, maybe d&g. He was soo humble thu icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Corey Simon on Saturday night (former defensive tackle for FSU and the Eagles). The guy is one classy mfer. He just quietly owns the room, I've rarely seen that done before.

Loool

I see your Collina (who I like) and raise you dinner with the entire Inter team, partying with the boston celtics, meeting Nomar Garciaparra, staying in the same hotel with Beckam and bumping into him, attending the CL final and sitting in the VIP box in the bernabaue with the families of the inter players, being strangled mockingly by Materrazzii , entire Dutch team of 94 in the airport, Walter Zenga in Dubai.....I am getting tired and I haven't even gotten to actors.

Alright, you win. I didn't like this game to begin with...

I believe it was a genuine attempt. After all it's Materazzi.

I have met Nature Boy Buddy Landel. That trumps all the celebrity encounters in this thread, no two ways about it.
