i don't like to spend alot of money on menial things like shaving cream, shampoo, condtioner, soaps. so my question for you all if do any of you know a cheap hair conditioner, how to make a cheap conditioner that does the job?

Cheap conditioners are actually more expensive..... you'll need to use 3-4 times as much to get any results. I like Paul Mitchell leave-in conditioner, or their super moisture (??) conditioner. Either one is about $10 for a decent size but it'll last 6-12 months if you use it 2-3 times a week. You don't need to use conditioner every day.

check out your local clothing discounter, they often times have shampoo/conditioners for cheap ($5 a bottle) ... brands like Crew and Bedhead, not high end, but considerably better then the real cheap stuff. Filene's basement out by me has the stuff...

Do you have a Rite Aid, Walgreens, or CVS type store near you? Because they have that kind of stuff free after rebate from time to time. I literally have 18 tubes of toothpaste, 18 toothbrushes, 9 shampoos, 9 conditioners, 7 body washes, 5 cans shaving gel, God knows how many razors in my hall closet all obtained for FREE. I don't spend money on medication or toiletries thanks to those stores.

Some of my mom's friends who apparently still have very thick, dark hair swear by coconut milk as a hair treatment.

??? No. Are Dutch good at sniffing out freebies? I'll tell you though, cold season is coming up and they always have loads of free medication after rebate just before. So stock up! It's really saved me some money, these rebates.

Well I live in like the dutch capitol of the world so I guess not everyone would know the expression. The dutch are known for being really cheap, looking for deals, etc. I'm just joking around. I think the situation is funny, but I think it's cool/respectable when people take the time to save money; wish I could do the same.

You have heard the expression going dutch though haven't you?

i know this doesnt answer your question, but why spend your time on style forum (which implies a lot of thought and care about your appearance and clothing) then go put cheap stuff onto your body?

Smart consumers get good value for their products. If you base value on price then I would say it would be worth reconsidering your value system.
