Good Deodorant?

Thread Starter
I live in a subtropical climate so I can't help but get sweaty during day. I've tried numerous deodorants in the past but the ones that I found to be effective at elminating odors were also the most irritating. I've experimented with some natural products but they just don't cut it. Could anyone recommend a deodorant that is both effective and free of chemical irritants?

thanks

Speed Stick 24/7 Deodorant is what I've used for the past few years. (blue stick)

However, it's different that Speed Stick 24/7 Antiperspirant Deodorant (white stick) which I accidentally bought the other day. I like it much less than the clear blue stick, but plan to use it until it runs out. I have had my girlfriend ask me what cologne I am wearing before when all I wear is this deodorant, but to most people it would be undetectable.

Deodorant doesn't cut it, and all the antiperspirants irritate my skin (even the womens' ones), except Degree. You might want to try that one out.

I want to try the new Adidas deoderant which doesn't contain Aluminum salts, but has some cotton based ingredient instead. Says it is for women on this site, but it has to be better than the hippy smelling Tom's of Maine that doesn't work at all.

Yup, I have a hell of a time with deodorant too. Have had very good luck with Adidas "cottontech". There are men's ones.

Have you tried Crystal before? I just ordered some and I like it better than anything else I have ever tried. It is also free of Aluminum Chlorohydrate... http://www.amazon.com/Crystal-Deodor...8882419&sr=8-1

I swear the only thing to ever work for me is Certain Dri. I gone for 4 days without sweating. I use their AM also. Try it out.

I used a lot of brands that simply did not prevent sweating or smell, and got ot Old Spice. It worked great, but eventually started burning my skin. Then I switched to Degree Anti-Perspirant & Deodorant Invisible Solid in Cool Breeze scent, and have used it exclusively ever since.

I'll be honest, though: I have been jonesin to buy a stick of the Crystal all-natural deodorant to try it out. Many people here swear by it.

+1 Crystal Body is what I've used for the last year or so. I use this one though: http://www.amazon.com/Crystal-Body-D...314997-9943349

By the looks of it I'll probably still be using this same one this time next year.

Tom's of Maine works pretty well most of the year. In the summer I use a stronger scented deoderant like old spice sport or a calvin klein deoderant.

Don't use an antiperspirant unless you want a permament layer of yellow crust on all your shirts.

If you're sweating too much you probably need to change the clothes you wear, not your deoderant.

Or just wear an undershirt. I agree with the recomm. re Tom's. I've also had good results -- and no staining of my undershirts -- with Mitchum's antipespirant.

It may sound strange buy I love Jovan Musk stick deodorant. A very nice, neutral smell that doesn't give off that locker room vibe like Old Spice, and it also seems to work very well for me. I don't really have a strong body odor though unless I'm unshowered and very stressed out.

But I don't think they sell it anymore

Macy's has a ton of deodorants that I'm pretty sure are exactly the same except for the smell. The Lacoste one rocks, and so does the Hugo Boss one.

Menscience Advanced Deodorant has done wonders for me. Completely odorless and very efficient. A bit expensive, but aluminum & alcohol-free scentless deodorants aren't exactly easy to come by.
