I have Berlutis, Aldens, Crockett and Jones, Pradas, Dolce and Gabbana, Dior, Bettanin & Venturis, Frye, Margiela, etc. I have about 50 pairs of shoes and they are all in excellent condition. I polish them occasionally and they all have cedar shoe trees on. Athletic shoes, about 30 pairs.

Substitute Lattanzi/Sander and/or Premiata for Berluti and you've just about got my closet as well (I'd also have to add a few pairs of Jean-Michel Cazabat for those random times when one wants to feel like a rockstar). After seeing our similarities in fragrance on the scent thread, I'm wondering if I have a long-lost twin out there (j/k).

Anyway, for athletic shoes, I tend to stick with what I like and get them in different colors. I have six or seven pair of the Puma/Sander collaboration, most all in the classic model (in various colors, black with grey stripe, black/black, white/white, tan/orange, etc.) Other than that, I also have some Helmut Lang and 4-5 old pairs of Prada calf-skin sneakers from 1999 or so and one pair of Mihara Yasuhiro Pumas, but I barely wear them because they're a little loud (electric blue patent leather with orange stripe)...

Jeeez, and my GF told ME that I have a shoe fetish...
2 pairs of dress shoes (brown and black) from Navy Boot
2 pairs casual from Campers
3 pairs chelsea boots, mostly with buckles: Jill Sander, Bikkembergs, Dolce&Gabbana. These get the most wear
Way too many sneakers, mainly Adidas and Onitsukas in "Hypebeast"-colors
1 pair of Crocs

2 pairs of specialty chucks (this khaki canvas and brown leather model and a blue/grey pinstripe pair) but i rarely wear either of them. Brown gola strides black apc x nikes german army trainers navy sperry topsiders That's it. Brown, black, white, blue. I desperately want new shoes. I really want a pair of: caramel dress shoes i can wear with jeans grey boots like the carpe diem ones (but obviously cheaper) a nice brown pair of boots like some of the varvatos ones i've seen maybe another dress type shoe i can wear casually like those NDC suede brogues or similar to the paul smith or acne shoes i've seen.

Add all the counts in this thread, multiply by the square root of 27, divide by 0.3765 and add your birth year and you will get the number of shoes owned by aportnoy and sysdoc
To be honest, that feels more like collecting (nothing wrong with that). I have about 25 pairs or so and feels like its maybe 10-15 too many. Of course it all varies from person to person but we all have only one set of feet.
Disclaimer: I'm not into pristine shoes, I think leather gains character when it is worn.

You're right, I think. Truth be told, I probably wear the same six or seven pairs 95% of the time. Of all my shoes, there are still three or four pairs that I've had for a long time that I've never actually worn. Beyond that, there are several more I've only worn once but keep telling myself I'll find the occasion...
