Wow, that takes me back:

Until I see a full trailer, I'm just going to assume it's never going to happen.

I'm not Nantucket Red, but I'm pretty happy with the casting. No Keanu, No Cruise. Thats all I really was asking for. Filming in Vancouver this month. Trailer is coming a bit after that.

In that trailer/pic, Rorschach looks too clean.

Well it was a one frame CG mockup that the director made. It's a single frame spliced into the R rated 300 trailer. (300's Zach Snyder is directing Watchmen)

I dont expect it to be indicative of the finished product. Merely "suggestive".

Comedian looks cool

not familiar with this...is it an action hero story like Ironman?

Not quite... but then again... yes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watchmen

Comedian needs brown hair and a larger moustach. I think Rorschach's casting was pretty good.

I would highly recommend picking up the graphic novel on ebay or at your local bookseller. Its pretty much the pinnacle of the comic book genre. It surpasses it, in many people's opinion, and becomes actual serious literature.

Yeah, that and Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns" which was released at about the same time. Watchmen requires the end fillers to give meat to the bones, while DK is a more sparsely written tome.

I always preferred Miller's Daredevil - Born Again to TDKR. Dunno why.

I picked it up last year and have to agree that it greatly surpasses the sometime pejorative of "graphic novel". I wasn't expecting the psychology of what makes a person put on a mask and turn to vigilantism to be fleshed out so well.
