In danger of exiting the Coppa d' Italia after losing 3-1 in Turin, Roma come roaring back to take return leg 4-nil at the Olimpico. That's what I'm talking about!

Nah, Tim Roth in Made in Britain. So today was a great day in the FA Cup. Hereford put Tranmere out and Havant and Waterlooville (a non league team) beat Swansea 4-2 and face Liverpool in the next round!

Anyone see The Duck's (Pato) debut at AC Milan? He looks dangerous. Seriously dangerous.

International friendlies today. What's up? I'm watching US-Mex and Italy-Portugal. The latter must be on tape delay.

So far the game is alright. We look like we're making some nice passes. Mexico hasn't started to play dirty yet--but the night is young. Landon is still a ****.

anybody else watch the us-mex game?? to be fair, landon played pretty damn well in the first half. altidore should never come out of the lineup from now on, and gooch played a very solid game at centerback, and even scored. I thought bradely was a little dissapointing. don't even get me started on the outside backs.

I only ended up watching the first half because I just had to go to bed. It was too late for me.

Mexico had the run of play from what I hear. Those outside backs were both on their first caps, weren't they? Maybe a little nervous.

I think Bradley gets too much **** (not that you're giving him any). I think he just had an off game, I've heard the pairing didn't work well. I think he's earned his place on the squad.

Deuce got robbed.

As for LD...see my post in the sports DB thread. That he didn't understand how intensely other players take EVERY game just floors me. It summarizes his character for me.

I agree that Bradely had an off night; I'm surprised people give him ****. Right now, he is in form no other American player has ever been in for his club team. He has absolutely earned his place in the lineup, and I don't seem him coming out for the next couple world cups.

The outside backs may have been in their first caps, but they were horrendous. They should not get another start.

Good point about LD. I'm usually a backer because more than anyone I think he takes too much ****, but I can't argue with your point.

Really tragic. IMO along with Van Basten(another whose career was ended by injury) the greatest striker of the last 25 years.

That's sad news. It was great to see him come back from the previous injuries and then come back from the debacle that was RM for those years when people said he was fat etc. Now this.

He was (hate to put it in the past tense) brilliant. Maybe he can pass that talent on to others now.
