Here are a couple of fit pics of my Lawless 14oz Cone Orange ID. Pics were taken on 2nd day of wear. Have been really happy with the fit and quality so far.

They look good.  Love to hear your thoughts on fit & construction

Sure, no probalo. I'll start with the caveat that these aren't directly comparable to any other jeans I own. The only other coated pair of jeans I have are Dior sharp notations, and those are a soft, lightweight denim coated with a thin layer of polyurethane; these are made with rigid 12 ounce selvedge denim with what feels like a fairly thick layer of wax on top. They're much stiffer than normal raw denim and crinkle audibly when I walk. I knew I was getting a crazy pair of jeans when I picked this denim, and I got exactly what I bargained for.

Fit: I really like the cut, which is slim straight. I don't think I could've gotten my foot through the leg opening on the slim taper, and the straight cut would've been too wide at the hem to stack well. I'd say it's somewhat similar to the straight fit from W+H (minus the darting at the seat) or the slim fit from RRL. There's enough room in the hips and thighs that they don't feel painted on. They're a little snug in the calves, but this is pretty much always the case for me with slimmer cuts. If I got another pair of jeans, I'd go for the same cut.

Construction: Overall I'd say it's solid. The inseam is triple-stitched, which is a little less common IME. The back pockets are fully lined, and for some reason so is the coin pocket (this may actually be better from a functionality perspective, although I kinda like hidden or peek-a-boo selvedge). The waistband is chainstitched at both the top and bottom, and for whatever reason the hem is double-chainstitched (I thought I asked for single, but it doesn't make a difference either way).

My favorite detail by far is the wide stitch on the front pockets, which I specifically requested when I ordered. I have pretty big hands, and it makes the pockets more usable having a little extra room between the opening of the pocket and the reinforcement stitching.

If I would change anything, it might be a slightly nicer pocketbag lining. The pocketbags are fine and definitely not flimsy, but a nicer twill, duck, herringbone, or chambray would definitely kick it up a notch. Obviously this would increase the cost of materials, which would in turn increase the price tag. I wouldn't mind hidden rivets, but they're not a big deal from my perspective. I expect them on LVCs, RRLs, and most stuff form the Japanese repro companies; I wouldn't really expect them here because Lawless doesn't play in the same space, IMO.

I appreciate the review and your honesty in your last statement. I should tell you choosing heavier canvas or anything for that matter will not affect the price. The white canvas you likely received were part of the KS campaign and still are but we also have just about anything you want but just have to ask. I do appreciate taking the time to review the jeans

I hope everyone who has received anything from Lawless is enjoying their items. We plan on becoming available in this forum for any questions and to inform you of any Lawless news

I am sure many of you who ordered via Kickstarter or were part of the promo pairs we did are starting to receive packages. I would love to hear what everyone thinks and if there is any feedback we need to know. We are averaging 30 to 40 orders being completed a day right now with many of those orders having multiple items. To give you an idea of how we come up with our current 6 to 8 week wait time, you can figure that at any given time there are 1000 orders ahead of any new orders that come in . That means roughly 33 days but we say 6 to 8 weeks for any unexpected issues like fabric being received from the mills. After KS is done those wait times will change for the better due to my message below

There are currently roughly 150 people that have yet to get back to us with measurements. If any of you placed an order via KS we ask that you please contact us from the store contact options. We are getting emails kicked back to us which means wrong emails were given as well as not getting responses. There has also been some people that are noticing our emails are going straight to junk mail so please check that as well. Again we are looking for anyone that has not heard from us to check their Junk mail or reach out if you think you may have deleted out emails. In the meantime we are moving ahead with production on any orders placed off the original website as well as the new site

Thank you

Sal

Anyone else having issues with account-specific areas of the new website? Lately, when I go to log in, I get a load of warnings about an invalid security certificate.

same thing here (Firefox). I ignored the message, hopefully this wasn't a bad idea.

We recently changed the web address to ra-denim so that may be causing the issue. Try refreshing or typing in ra-denim dot com when going to the site. The lawlessdenim address works as well

I always accessed the site through ra-denim, so it must be something else.

Roman says this should be fixed in about 15 minutes. He updated something I know nothing about but it should fix the issues some are having

Here are some new pics and review of my Lawless Western/Montana shirt. It was ordered from old website before the recent newest size chart and website pics/description. Overall it should be the same as what you would order now. Will update if it is not the case.

This is a slim small in size.
14 oz. Kaihara Indigo over Indigo Selvedge Denim
mens-size:small
thread-color: White,
button-snaps: Tiger Eye,
pocket-lining: Black & White Stripes

I have wanted a heavy selvedge indigo shirt with snaps and contrast stitching for a while and was happy when this arrived. I knew the white stitching would be a bold move. I could have went with the normal copper color but wanted to go a little crazy as I had seen leather jackets with white stitching and thought they looked great. There are also western shirts with stock white stitching. My shirt does stand out and I wouldn't wear it to church or anywhere conservative. I get to wear what I want to work from Metallica T-shirts, along with many other bands, to dress shirts and everything in between so this will fit in there.

I will preface by saying I have an Iron Heart 16oz Super Black SS Western Shirt so I am used to a thick shirt. It borders on being a jacket. The Indigo/Indigo Kaihara is similar in feel as it does have some crunchiness to it. It is a nice thick substantial material but i think it feels great. There is some puffiness in the pics but it will loosen up with wear and drape better. The fabric was exactly what I was hoping for. The color is beautiful, it is very dark and looks almost black until you put it against something black.I have put it next to my IH black shirt in pics for comparison. I am wearing my Gustin Black2 jeans here also. I believe the material will look amazing with some fades in a year or so.

The design looks great and workmanship is flawless as far as I can see. The stitching and cutting looks straight and very strong. Anything that looks misaligned just looks that way in picture. I noticed my IH shirt pockets look crooked in pictures. I like the design of the collar and I can button the chinstrap but will probably wear it open unless trying to keep warm. I love the double cuff snap option. You can see the selvedge line inside. My watch fits under the cuffs without any problems. The snaps seem to be a good quality and I like the tiger eye I picked. The front pockets are nice and even though no one will see the black/white striped lining it is a cool feature. I will show it off to people. ;) The flaps function perfectly and are not bulky feeling.

I can't think of one thing to complain about. If the pockets were long enough to fit an average Iphone/Droid size that would be a plus but could maybe make the pocket look too long. Not sure about this. My IH shirt doesn't fit one either.
Sizing is very important as most of us will not wear something with a bad fit. I do like a slim fit for my shirts. The shoulders, chest, arms and waist are spot on. So happy for that. I do wear most of my shirts tucked so I like an untucked shirt to be on the shorter size. A shirt this thick needs to be untucked in my opinion. This shirt is a little too long for my taste. I know many would be happy with the length. I will probably see what a warm soak will do but I could lose 1.5" on the front and 2.5" in the back.

Overall this shirt is amazing regardless of price but with the actual price figured in the best deal out there. Thanks Lawless!! Great job. I have included a link with more detailed pictures.

The color is hard to capture but I think these are close to in person.

Nice. I have a couple Montana on the way. What are your measurements? I went with a Slim Medium. I'm 40s in suits, and I prefer a slim fit.
