Universal Works for FW 14 brings an array of unique fabrics in their older standards that have defined the brand. Be it the Baker Jacket or our favorite the Tarleton, this collection has
evolved to be a standout amongst a field of urban workwear designers.
"Universal Works aims to mix the great British clothing heritage with a modern, more international feel – wearable; sustainable and affordable; clothes that reflect the personality of the owner; real honest menswear that defies the trends and whims of fashion. The ideas come from a humble blue-collar background but one that knows how to dress well and live well."

I like the way they're getting slightly bolder each season. . I've got a fair bit of their stuff from previous seasons, but this season looks stronger.

Agreed. Not sure I'll be buying any wool sweatpants but I like that they're not doing the same thing over and over.

Had a good laugh at p. 16 w/bearded dude putting his hand up to stop paparazzi shots. Like yeah that would happen.

Yes a good balance between keeping some of their key pieces (e.g. Baker and Tarleton) whilst introducing other stuff. Their pants look good this year :)

It's generally very solid. Much of the fabric is UK or Japanese produced, construction isn't all UK based though. Out of 25 odd pieces I've had a loose button on one gilet, but no other real problems.

Got a change to check out a variety of pieces today at Drinkwater's store. I was highly impressed with both the design and construction of the garments. Had that donegal jacket been available in my size I would have kopped it instantly. The brand was new to me but is now very much on my radar and I look forward to having great access to the line

You don't see UW that much stateside. I've always liked their gear, probably starting with their baker's jacket. This season seems their strongest yet. I wish there were more places that carried em here.

I have communicated with David Keyte and his brother - they are both top blokes. David and I are into many of the same design details. They are on my radar season after season. Love their stuff. Finally got to visit one of their shops in London when I was back there earlier this year. Their sales guy was top notch.

Agree with this: it's solid, though generally not spectacular.

Major advantage is that you can pick it up pretty cheap in the UK!

You could do worse for the price. I probably wear my UW baker's jackets more than my engineers garments bedford jackets. Outside of the UK it's not that well-known.
