I asked my German friend in Berlin, "So who buys these €1590 RTW Stefano Branchinis that are so expensive, they're only sold here and in Japan?" His answer: the Russians. There's an entire Berlin micro-industry catering to affluent Russians (visiting and resident mafia) who buy things few locals can consider.

I also noticed something suprising on the Santoni website. Santoni has three branded stores in Italy. They have one in Paris. And their other five European stores are in Moscow (4) and Kiev (1).

Based on demand for nice shoes, the Russians earn my respect.

How is that different from "old money"? You go back far enough into any family-dynasty history and you find criminal enterprise.

That guy on a picture is a total clown. How anyone can be so out of touch is beyond me.

This is especially true of aristocrats. Go back far enough in history and the founder of the line is a brutish criminal thug.

Old money ,speculation money ,profiteering money ....
No Empire without any kind of social exploitation and i'm not trying to pull out the old communist trick here because they were theworst ones..

Very rich people rarely became very wealthy without being ruthless or having some kind of dodgy social ethics...
The philantropist dream of the moralistic factory owner, landlord or speculator is a mirage...

They have oil and they enjoy being very wealthy....Vulgar ,yes, sometimes ...
Nouveaux riches? Like everybody having suddenly a great lifestyle ,they areattracted by trophy women, sport cars ,big boats and others palpable symbols of their wealth ...

Right, right, right.
Some of them, to my total amusement, are attracted to gay clothing and old, flabby British birds among other things-ridiculous.

Don't be so sure. Prince Charles used to enjoy paid talent at Sultan of Brunei's private disco. There are agencies in US recruiting sluts from Miss Universe Play boy etc to go to Brunei for a few months. The fee used to be around 120K (AIDS test is mandatory).
Royalty are different from you and me. They get what we drool over.

P.S. Capone never pretended to be something he is not.

Francesco Smalto used to send his bespoke suits to Omar Bongo ,president of oil rich Gabon ,specially delivered by escorts...

Some of them have claimed since ,they got AIDS and other diseases from him....
Where is a good employment lawyer when we do need one?

Whores and wealthy people are like horse and carriage ....
Like the old say when French corsaire captain Surcouf was captured by English navy officers.....
The elegant English officer said to him: "You corsaire have no honor because you do fight for money when we do fight for bravery and gallantry"....
Surcouf just replied "We also fight for the thing we severely lack of"......

The whores /escorts want money ,power and the rich guys want sex ,lust and stunning babes..
