I took my bottle of Precious Oud back to Neiman's and got a bottle each of Habit Rouge and Voyage d'Hermes for the price of the first. I don't read much about Voyage on here but I like it a lot.

I'm here for ya!

I hope you enjoy the Hermes' (sp?). Let us know what you think. And keep your receipt!

I sprayed two spritzes of Voyage d'Hermes on myself around 9:30 last night and woke up this morning with a scent that reminded me of Timbuktu - almost a warm, clean laundry smell.

Hmmm, not really feeling it these days. I think I wore Egoiste on Saturday, nothing on Sunday, and today I didn't know what would work for an unseasonably warm, humid, darkly-overcast and thundering Monday (double-yuck) so I reached into the closet and my hand rested on a bottle of L'Instant. It's nice enough, I guess. I think I only bought it because I found a tester on Amazon cheap. It's adequate, I guess.

Guerlain - Play. Typical fresh cool scent. I don't like these.

Divine by Divine today.

I really love sycomore but will always lean towards fat electrician as it is so much more fun.

With that said, I have to say I've been wearing Rose 31 like 90% of the time. I've simply settled on that as my go-to scent.

I like that one a lot too. How are you finding the immortelle note? I remember that you were concerned about that.

It's TF Violet Blonde for me today.

I can't discern it. Maybe it's dialed back into the supporting cast or something. OR perhaps what I thought was immortelle was really immortelle + Something Else, or maybe it was just Something Else.

...
Since you bring up Immortelle, I ended up passing a bottle of Soivohle Tuscan Leather to a friend last week and she took a whiff of it and remarked on what she was picking up in the notes. She decided that there was either civet or castoreum and noted that civet travels down her spine and settles in her lower back, while castoreum hangs in her nose for a while. That's when it really hit me that there are people who are far more in tune with this than I'll ever be.
