I was pretty impressed with that Dior collection. Bvlgari Blve Notte today for the summer heat. I quite like this but have others that are similar-ish. also just got a sample of Prada Amber intense and think it may be better than the original!

^The new intense is rather nice. Past two days for me - yesterday - Lorenzo Villoresi Acqui di Colonia - boy this sucked. Today - Lorenzo Villoresi Musk - Damn. Now I remember why I wanted to split this! Wow.

today Ormonde Jayne Tolu - I'm getting orange blossoms and then some resinous ambers. Bad choice for 25+degree weather. Plus it's more like something a nice older lady might wear (cough dane cough). Into the swap box pile it goes.

Back to Black today. Really wanted to love this one, but it wears horribly on me. Don't get any leather at all, just powder. Almost like talcum powder. Yuck

Back to Black is one of my favorites. I don't get anything like talcum powder at all, either smelling it out of the bottle or on my skin. I don't think of it as a leather either. I find it to be a well composed tobacco/vanilla. What's really remarkable about it, IMO, is the honey note, which gives it something of a gourmand feel. It's also got a little bit of tanginess that most tobacco/vanilla fragrances don't have.
