Hermes D'Orange verte...Strong, a little too much so for some, but perfect for me. In small doses.

Miss Dior. An old school, classic chypre that is really nice for warm weather, though with a hint of depth beyond a normal chypre. Think Shalimar meets Chanel no. 19.

Dior`s early scents (from the 50`s) are really not to be missed and are simply not made this way today.

Recommendations for a fresh, smelling (gasp) aquatic? Preferably (keyword for definitely) not called ADG? Bulgari Aqua? Givenchy Blue Label? L'eau D'Issey?

I've never found one that I liked. I know Rach likes Montale Soleil di Capri. I think it smells like boat runoff.

L'eau D'Issey Summer Edition - far, far better than the normal one. I've seen the summer one at Bloomingdales

Erolfa (Creed) is another decent aquatic, but overall, this family is my LEAST favorite. I like things with more funk, foul, and kick.

Anyhoo, my SOTD is Gucci Rush for Men. I have a secret stash of this discontinued goody that I dip into for special occasions.

I totally understand. Nobody really into scents really dig aquatics- not complex enough I suppose? But I'm a noob, a noob that's too young where the females probably wouldn't dig the smell of the musk of some exotic moss or whatever. I just don't have the time/money to run around looking for obscure fragrances at this stage of my life- so I play it conservative... aquatics rarely go bad, they are just unmemorable in my experience.
