Guerlain Nahema for me today. You want a LOUD (but non-synthetic) ROSE note? Well, it'll give you a loud rose note.

I can just see the "intervention" at work today.

T's boss calls him in to talk about the importance of "daily bathing for hygiene."

When you tell him, "Hey, I paid a lot of money to smell like this!" I think you just might get yourself a mandatory "vacation."

Then I can go vote. Also I didn't pay for this decant. And I like this. This is win/win/win at its finest.

I bought a bottle of this on ebay and was determined to like it but, alas, I failed miserably. It's way too dense for me - there's no room to breathe.

I even bought the matching Body Creme in an effort to find some appeal... and the body creme is even denser and more "bodily" than the perfume. WOW! bad decision.

Old Spice, to honor my country on election day.

By the way, I urge everyone to revisit this if they don't already have it in their rotation. Great scent, very good longevity. You'll be surprised.

If you feel like paying a lot more money for a fancy name and the same scent, you could spring for Cartier's Le Baiser du Dragon. Which is a close replica of Old Spice, circa 1972

Today I took a chance and trusted my nose. I thought, conceptually, that these two scents would work together given their "mix," and I was right.

Jicky layered with HL EdC. A very unique combo that I'd highly recommend to the more adventurous out there.

Funny you mention layering. Today I layered

HL Cuiron (trying to empty a decant)
with
Burt's Bees Bay Rum.

Combines the sleek minimalism of Cuiron with the spicy swagger of Bay Rum. Great stuff.

Wow, that does sound nice. My problem with Cuiron was always its lack of projection and the fact that it was always rather muted. Not so with Burt's bees, but the BB lacked the deep leather and plum.

Good combo, T!!!
