I have, and I am undecided on it. Sometimes the toothpaste associations are too strong for me to deal with it and other times I don't mind it.

Another fragrance I recommend is Lampblack by Bruno Fazzolari.

im a fan of aventus, tuscan leather, the typical recommended scents but ive been out of the fragrance community for a while. want to see what to check out.

Amouage does a good job on a lot of their scents.  Pick up some samples and try them out.  Jubilation XXV is a great scent and I've found a couple others that I really like including Journey, Memoir, Interlude (in cooler weather), and Beloved.  All of the named scents are the Male versions.

Careful, there are male and female versions of the Amouage named scents

Amouage Myths Man has the ashy note from Aventus, but there's also so much more going on. Very much a "young" scent IMO.
Tom Ford Noir pour Femme. Don't be worried at all by the "pour Femme." It's a very pleasing, creamy, sweet scent. (Tom Ford Noir Extreme is pretty similar if the "Femme" really bothers you!)
Adding to the Frederic Malle recs, I'll suggest Dries van Noten. It's a warm, soft-focus, creamy, woody scent.
And finally, La Fin du Monde by ELDO is an interesting gunpowdery iris, in the ballpark of Dior Homme. Unusual but still instantly likable.

Wonderoud by Comme des Garcons. This is my first Oud scent. I tried a half dozen at Twisted Lilly and really liked this most as the Oud is not overpowering but nicely blended.

Some nice ones today; good job fellas.

CoSTUME NATIONAL Scent for me today; I still go back to this one even though it is unusual in my wardrobe. Sweet, synthetic (intentionally), and nice... it also has that weird futuristic vibe consistent with Cappasa's fashion. When I need something that won't offend, but still doesn't feel like a cop out... I reach for it.

Though, for the record, I hate the bottle design. Perhaps intentionally? (Cappasa is that weird)... it's very hard for me to apply in any consistent manner.

I personally can't stand the Creed name, logo, or bottles. There's a few of them that I tried in store that I liked the smell of but I could never have one of those bottles in my room.

I'm not usually picky with this type of thing. Something about the aesthetic just makes me angry.

Wearing Invasion Barbare today. Can't tell if I really like it or think it's generic, but the bust-bottle they have is God awful.

I think the Amouage Myths Man smells a lot like Le Fin du Monde.

Today I'm wearing Diptyque Oud Palao.

Wow, I don't think I ever would have made that connection. But now that you say it I think I have a sense for the similarity you're pointing to.

SOTD is Neroli Portofino. The original, and my favorite, from the TFPB "blue" line.

Has anyone tried Cdg's new fragrance, Black Pepper? only available in the UK at the moment.
