If you foolios guessed that I wore Leather Oud for my pre-shower scent, then you guessed right.
My SOTD was Al Oudh.

^ Your thoughts on Leather Oud?

SOTD Bigarade Concentree. Nicely refreshing in the heat.

It is what the name suggests. In my opinion, it's just too loud and overpowering. Also, it gives me a headache! I much prefer Oud Ispahan, which is in the same ballpark (the oud and labdanum parts are similar), but much more wearable.

Tried Equipage (first generation vintage) today in Sydney's almost-freezing cold. It is a vastly different thing especially after a shower, the soapy side comes through much stronger and there isn't the merest hint of warmth. It's in these moments that I understand why you temperate climate dwellers are so keen on stinkier things... a little oud or sweetness would be very welcome indeed. I'll pack the Sultan attars next trip and maybe Roja's Enigma and Yohji Homme.

I had the same feeling on testing which is why I went for Cuir Cannage (totally different, I know) which to my dismay I haven't even opened yet.

I own bottles of both and +1 there. I rarely wear the Leather Oud but really enjoy the Oud Ispahan

Ungaro II for me today. This used to be a favorite here on Styleforum, I think like back in the '90s when it was published as a daily zine.

This evening I am wearing La Via del Profumo Mecca Balsam.

SOTD Incense Rose masculine, sensuous, evocative or is just the failed catholic in me thats responding to the frankincense. Either way an interesting exotically fragrant way to beat the winter cold.

SOTE was Lonesome Rider. I didn't mean to wear it; I had just put my contacts in and so my ability to read was decreased by a lot. (I read much better with my glasses for some reason.) I meant to wear Lonestar Memories. I'm glad I picked up Lonesome Rider though because I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Fate Woman. It's a lovely Opium-esque oriental.

How was it? It sounds like a very "typed", Middle-Eastern scent.
