Scent/Fragrance of the Day thread - Page 1590

online discounters like fragrancenet, fragrancex, strawberrynet (if you're in the Eastern hemisphere), etc. Note the 15-20-25% off coupons

Forums like Basenotes buy and sell section

Facebook groups, of which there are a ton and often great sales/deals to be had.

Lastly, it's been a while, but I remember a few times a year Harrods does a decent sale.

Use keyword memoir which is pretty specific and you'll know quickly what's available.
If you're open to a partial/used bottle you can save quite a bit.

Also received my Amouage Memoir Man sample. It's fantastic! Works well for warmer days. I think I'll purchase a 50ml...any leads on not paying retail?

There are some splits going on at basenotes.net splits board.  I am actually awaiting one of Memoir right now.

Fate Man smells alright... What were you hinting at here L'Inc?

Journey Man smells like a good woody incense frag.

Epic Man, also good.

They forgot my Reflection Man frown.gif

Agree completely about Lyric Woman being perfectly wearable for a guy.

Fate Man has a big ole cumin note, which is a deal breaker for a lot of people. I love cumin, though.

Well you know I like Onda Rubj, so I guess I would find Fate wearable  :D

Any tips on getting the Richard James EDT shipped to Australia? No one wants to sell me a bottle

Wore Knize 10 today and I think it smells musky / urinal puck to me. Not going to be a keeper.

My SOTD is Miller Harris Terre de Bois. This is clearly trying to play in the same space as Terre d'Hermes, but it doesn't hit that high standard. It does have pretty decent longevity - about 12 hours - and is a nice blend of citrus and greens.

@Death24xASecond regarding discount Amouage, you could try StrawberryNet, who have Memoir at 20% off ATM. Australian online retailer Kogan has Memoir for around the same price, but I don't know if they'd ship.

Back to Amouage Epic Man today.

I think I've pinpointed what it reminds me of - Koyasan near Osaka. I went there in winter. Both the woods, and the various temples - must be the resins, cedarwood and incense mix. Good memories, so I like the scent by association.

Have you tried the various "local postbox" services? I've used MyUS with some degree of success for whisk(e)y from the US to Sydney before.

Today I'm wearing L'Air du Desert Marocain.

Tauer for me too: Fruitchouli Flash. It's a dense, ripe apricot with a clean patchouli, rounded out with some florals in the heart. If you imagine Andy Tauer doing a fruitchouli scent, I think this is about what you'd have in mind.

Good idea, I'll try to find an equivalent service in the UK
