Tried a sample of Tom Ford Italian Cypress, sort of like it, not sure if I really love it.

- I'd like to pick up maybe $50 worth of samples.
- L'Inc has recommended CdG 2 Man in the past.
- I also own YSL Rive Gauche, Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin (which I don't wear because my wife hates licorice/anise), and L'Eau d'Issey pour homme from past experiments.
- My wife also likes "soapy" scents (by which I think she means vetiver, but I'm not sure)
To me, they are identical. I've heard people talk about a lesser longevity with the new one, but that is rarely the case with my detection.
Today was a very rainy, drizzly, and rainy again, Sunday, so I went with Salome and it didn't disappoint. Fantastic fragrance and very old-school in nature.
Gentlemen, can I get some suggestions for a new scent (or scents)? I've recently cleared out most of my fragrances because I was sick of them. I held onto Terre D'Hermes, Tom Ford for Men, Jo Malone Lime Basil & Mandarin, and Amber/Lavender. I really like Aesop's Marrakech (this will be one of my next purchases) and am leaning more towards a spicy/musky scent. However, I always love a nice, clean scent. I checked out the Santa Maria Novella offerings at Stag Provisions and really liked them. I'd prefer to stay under $100, but if it's great, I might reconsider.
Makes me feel all warm and cozy.
Yesterday, Prada Amber PH EdT, from a 10+ year old bottle. Still good, surprisingly, after years of neglect and stay in tropical surroundings.
Nice thread, btw. Full of inspirations and made me realize that my scent game had been zero, literally. First remedy has been to order tons of samples and some splits (a business MO I had never heard about before) from M-C and on basenotes. Funky.
