Don't know if y'alls have heard of a scent called Like This Tilda Swinton but that's what I'm wearing as SOTD.

Fantastic perfume.

Not that my opinion counts for much, but I consider it a contemporary classic.

Black Orchid today. I agree that Tilda Swinton is truly remarkable.

SOTE is the brand new Tom Ford Soleil Blanc. This is definitely a spring and summer scent. At the top the most prominent note is coconut. But shortly thereafter it becomes a buttery, somewhat peppery white floral--I think jasmine mainly. Later in the drydown it becomes sweeter, with less character. I enjoy it, but I don't see it becoming one of my favorites from the TF PB lineup. I definitely like the last release, Venetian Bergamot, more.

SOTD is Atelier Cologne Silver Iris. Except the minimal silage, it is perfectly suitable for the cold weather like today.

Wore the AdP Assoluta yesterday. Today was MdO Eau Absolue. This has really good longevity - at least 13 hours. It's a nice balance of bergamot and vetiver, with a bit of pepper, with nothing too dominant. On the downside, that makes it a little characterlss as a fragrance, while a high-end niche frag should be a bit more memorable.

Chanel No. 22 (Les Exclusifs). When I ran out of this a year or so ago, I replaced it with the vintage Chanel No. 22, assuming I would like it at least as much. But it turned out I actually prefered the new one by quite a bit. I acquired some more of the Exclusifs version just yesterday.

Last night I wore Colonia Assoluta - on me, after the citrus burns off, it is a white floral very similar to Caron's Third Man.
Today I wore Histoires de Parfums' 1725 - it's been cold and windy, so I could deal with this fragrance's sweetness.

PSA: Some of you might really be interested in this. Andy Tauer has a brand new scent, called Lonesome Rider, that is meant as a celebration of his ten years in business. It is supposed to be in the ballpark of Orris (a limited edition from quite a while ago) and Lonestar Memories. The pre-sale price is very, very low for a Tauer.

Wow, nice find! I'm so tempted and probably will regret not getting it.

You were the first person I thought of.

EDIT: Speaking of harsh leather scents, I'm wearing Vierges et Toreros as my SOTE. It's a white floral blended with some aggressive animalic and leathery notes.

Heeley Cuir Plein Fleurs today. Blind buy at last week's sale. My this is noice. It's clearly a leather frag from the outset, but not intrusive at all. Not is it the girly floral its name suggests. Lasts well - 14 hours+ - and retains some of the leather all the way, with some ozonic element late in the day.

Vintage Amouage Interlude. Weather is not cold enough for this monster, still.
