You know, I'm going to wear my A*Man this weekend. It should be the right weather for that.

I'm wearing it today since I'm able to hang out in my house. Meh, maybe next year I'll try it again.

Today I am wearing a scent by Serge Lutens called Arabie.

Geranium Pour Monsieur today. I went FB on this; my first Malle purchase. My only regret is that it does not last the full day. If it did, it would be one of my raging favourites.

Today it is raining for the first time in I don't know how long, so I'm wearing Guerlain Derby.

SOTD (vintage) MPG Route de Vetiver. Deep rich thick rubbery and green. Will need time to let this open up and see where it all goes. It's one of those bottles I have probably more so because you gotta have it as a collector but now I'm really looking at it to see if I even like it enough to keep it.

I did laundry activities this morning and smelled a wonderful fragrance on one of my shirts. It took me a few seconds to recognize it as Plum Japonais. It's interesting how your best assessments of fragrances come when you're not expecting to smell them and so you don't have preconceptions. I've always liked Plum Japonais, but I don't think I appreciated just how good it was.

Of course Plum Japonais is my SOTD.

Yerbamate today; I haven't worn this one for a long time. I can't recall my original reaction, but I'm liking it quite a lot. Unlike the Malle the mint note sticks around for hours, a plus for me.

BTW, saw Luca Turin's book in a remainder shop today, so I grabbed it of course. He hates it: "air freshener ... perfumery equivalent of a ringing in your ears".

There's many reviews by Luca that I don't agree with, but he's so damn entertaining and the vast majority of his reviews are spot-on.

Pre-shower: TF Patchouli Absolu. I'm pretty sure this is my least favorite TF. I've tried to like it but I just don't.
SOTD: Moon Aoud. Just what you'd expect from a Montale rose/oud accord.

Orange Sanguine today. This is another competent cologne from Atelier's large range. It's not going to blow anyone away, but it has a nice orangey opening and lasts better than most colognes.

Last night I wore Safran Troublant, which is one of the most "cozy" fragrances I have ever smelled. It's perfect for this time of year. It is very linear, but I don't want anything to develop over the time that I wear it.

Today I'm wearing Herrera for Men, one of my first loves.

Tried a spray of TF Noir at a mens shop.  The salesman claimed it was their best seller.  I did not ask the price, but I know it's expensive.

How do you guys describe this one?  I kinda liked it and it seemed to have staying power.

Cheers,

I'm not a big fan of TF Noir, to be honest. It's one of my least favorite in their lineup. It opens up with dry spices and a prominent civet. It dries down very powdery.

I like the edt version better (the one in the clear bottle, not the black one).

I'm wearing Nanban today, which is very, very good.
