Did it happen to be a sample of Parure extrait?

Tonight I'm wearing Tobaco Toscano by Santa Maria Novella - it's a dry tobacco, and the richness it contains is balanced out by being an eau de cologne. Nothing complicated about it, but I find it elegant for a tobacco fragrance.

Yeah, I have about two wearings left of the Parure I have and really find it hard wear it because I know it will be forever gone with the extrait. To me, it really is the most beautiful of the Guerlains along with Vol de Nuit. Those creations are high art.

Of course now I had to wear Parure as my SOTE! This has never gotten as much attention as the other Guerlain classics, but it's an amazing scent. It's actually my favorite of the classic Guerlains. (I'm not counting Rose Nacree du Desert, which is a completely different animal.)

Scored a free decant yesterday of Dominique Ropion's new FM release: Cologne Indelebile. This is a very strong neroli-based scent with huge longevity for a cologne. It's still very present on my wrist 12 hours after application. During the day it projected well; I often caught a waft of orange blossom.

It seems pretty linear; to me the neroli is the dominant note. Interestingly, it has developed more on my left wrist than my right, and I think I can get the musky base there. The SA said the base is like POAL and GPM, but I can't see either. Others compare it to Neroli Portofino, and I very much get that.

I like wearing colognes for the summer and we look like getting a hot one this year. A cologne like this with true lasting power would be very much the thing. I'm leaning very seriously towards a FB of this; will make up my mind over the next few days.

@HORNS

Since bottles come usually in 50ml, 75ml or rarely in 100ml its easy to calculate and not impossible

50ml x $2 = $100

75ml x $2 = $150

100ml x $2 = $200

Easy as this. ;-) I guess this is also what you spent generally on your scents or not?

Welcome to styleforum. I appreciate your help on the arithmetic

Today I'm wearing Rien, which is a very, very funky and turdy fragrance with leather. But it works, amid does the job that, to me, Dior's Leather Oud tried and failed.
