Pre-shower scent: Prelude to Love--by Kilian
SOTD: MPG George Sand

EDIT: Looks like Lavender Palm has finally been released nationwide. (They're all in the brown bottles now and priced the same as the other Private Blends.) I'm going to try to get to Saks this weekend to check it out.

All this talk about Lavender Palm, kinda making me curious. Anybody doing a split?

I do love living in St. Louis, but it can be frustrating. We have a Neiman and a Saks, so I thought I'd have a good chance at trying Lavender Palm. Nope. They don't have it and don't plan on getting it.

If I can snag a few extra samples I'll let you know.

That's great, thanks a lot!

The SAs at both Saks and Neiman here are odd. I asked if they had Lavender Palm. They both said "No, I'm sorry, we don't." And that was the end of it.They didn't try to sell me anything else or introduce me to anything new that they had. Maybe I look poor! I did take the opportunity to test Hermes Rouge, though. Man, that is an old-school spicy floral chypre.

How would you guys compare Lavendar Palm to A Taste of Heaven to Kilian? Haven't looked at the notes of Lavendar Palm, but from what I can guess they're both lavendar scents.

Today: SL - Chergui. Liked it better yesterday. Drydown (even the early) is better than the top notes though.

yeah, I was surprised to see that... since the silver bottle looked interesting, and they did do the neroli in blue, the jasmin in red, and the santal clear/brown... so why not the lavender?

Maybe it's because they wouldn't be able to justify having charged such an absurd price for the "special" bottle. I agree though, the silver bottle looked great. I also really like the red Jasmin Rouge bottle.

I updated my decant thread with a whole bunch of new decants. You know, in case anyone is interested in those sorts of things. :satisfied:

That's a hell of a selection you're selling.

Pre-shower scent: Tom Ford White Patchouli. I pay too much attention the the Private Blends and I forget just how great a lot of the Signature Series scents are.

SOTD: Creed Fleurs de Bulgarie. I don't have a problem forgetting how good this one is.

And +1 to HORNS's comment above: Rambo's got a great selection there.
