The television smell is the only one I get from Odeur 71.

It's a crazy smell and i suppose one that will be delightfully anachronistic very soon.

I just looked this fragrance up - does it have a prominent evergreen note?

I have mixed feelings about this one...I like the lavender and herb-iness of this...but I just wonder if it is too old smelling for me.

I've had the same feeling myself. There are quite a few other lavender+herb-vanilla scents out there so try a few - ELDO Antiheroes and maybe Eloge du Traiture, Guerlain Jicky, and By Kilian Taste of Heaven just off the top of my head

yesterday I wore Mona Di Orio Vetiver - again, I was immediately impressed. The level of mastery and refinement comes through right away. It's like a highly polished stone, smooth, well rounded, and as you look closer you see the swirling layers. This has a bit of that sweetness like Vetiver Tonka, hint of greeness and light bit of smoke like Vetiver Extraordinaire. It covers several facets of vetiver all at once with nothing unbalanced. For projection it's present but never over steps its place and gets in the way and also has very good longevity (I can smell it now the next morning on me). As usual with MdO, perhaps it's too 'tame' in that there's really nothing unusual about it, so it's not weird, or challenging, etc but it's just very well composed and thought out and a good all rounder. Doesn't excite me for being a challenge, but if you only wore her 5-6 scents you'd be in good shape.

First time to wear a Tom Ford...

Jasmine Rouge

Wow, this stuff is much stronger than anything I've ever worn.  I hope it evaporates a little before the party arrives.

Cheers,

I think Une Rose de Kandahar has moved into first place on the most complimented list for me.

SOTE is TF London.

Wow, getting all "domestic" while you're away.

Cheers,

I think Jasmine Rouge is great - since Olene has been reformulated, the quality changing in the ingredients, Jasmine Rouge is the best jasmine soliflore.

Ditto.

Today, I wore Olfactive Studio Lumiere Blanche - a fragrance similar to Voyage d'Hermes in its hints to tropical components, but it lacks the citrus but instead uses a almond milk creaminess to go along with the cardamom and other Indian subcontinent spices.

I thought it was more of a citrus scent, than green. A typical EdC with citrus and a bit of herbs and spices. Longevity was alright; it lasted the while day. Given the price I paid. I’m quite happy.

Today I’m wearing Brecourt Ambre Noir
