Great fragrance isn't it?  I just emptied my decant the other night.

Today for me, Neroli Portofino Eau Fraiche-- I thought this would be like aftershave strength, but in fact it has very nice projection and longevity.

Tonight, Le Labo/Anthropologie Orange Discrete

Never tried Cuiron. Christ, how long was it out - two years?? Now it's being sold at outrageous prices.

What do you think about Orange Discrete? I have it in solid form.

Today: Memoir Man.

I sold my bottle of Cuiron years ago - it gave me a headache. It was plum and leather but there was a very sharp note up top that I couldn't tolerate.

Pre-shower: Vetiverio (Diptyque)

SOTD: Aqua Sextius by Jul et Mad. This is their newest scent. I'm a big fan of this brand, although not a big fan of their prices. This one is a bright, aquatic summery scent, but it's also quite complex. For starters, I'd say it's reminiscent of Womanity with its salty marine and fig notes. But it opens up with a bright, ripe citrus that isn't there in Womanity. Aqua Sextius also has some facets you wouldn't expect in a summery marine scent. There are some aromatic notes that emerge in the middle, but also a fairly dense, heavy amber. I think this is my least favorite of Jul et Mad's four scents, but that's mainly because I'm not generally a fan of scents in this genre. It's definitely well done for what it is.

What do you think of Vetyverio?
It is the kind of vetiver I can appreciate because of the citrus and spicy notes, which round out the prickly edges of the vetiver. Along with Dior's Vetiver and L'Artisan's Coeur de Vetiver Sacre, it's near the top of my list of favorite vetivers.

Hey foolios you will never guess what I am wearing as my SOTE of the evening it is A Taste of Heaven.

^ I have a decent size decant of that, can never detect the absinthe, all I get is lavender & vanilla. Leather oud yesterday, and probably again tonight

I went to the annual sale at my local niche perfumery and bought about half the store. I’ll have quite a few unisex things to try from a whole range of houses. I did end up buying a few that may be a bit girly judging from the reviews, and I’d be interested to know if anyone’s tried them. The ones I’m doubtful about are:

  • TDC Osmanthus
  • TDC Pure Eve
  • Honore des Pres Love Coco
