I have a sample, but not a bottle. I can't remember, are you a fan of that one?

Pre-shower: Santal Majuscule
SOTD: Eau Rose by Diptyque. (Diptyque is hard to type.)

Today Tom Ford Tobacco Oud... I still like it. Probably only decant worthy and it's better than many of his more recent releases. Anyone compare this to Volutes and have an opinion?

pre-shower:  Slumberhouse Mare

SOTD: Oriza L.LeGrand Chypre Mousse

both excellent Spring scents

Speakeasy today.

Found some interesting stuff at the market today; a bottle of Jardin Sur le Nil with just a little bit left, Hiris moisturiser, and sample of Dahlia Noir and Bottega Veneta EDP.

That's a nice little haul you made there, CD!

Wearing Jardin du Nil this morning, as my pre shower scent. A dry geranium-rose combo.

Yeah, it was a good one and actually the 50 mL bottles are relatively inexpensive on ebay.

Musc Intense by Parfums de Nicolai. I'm a big fan of this.

Un Jardin Sur le Nil today. Might as well use up my market find. Smells great; no great deterioration that I can detect.

^^ You find the best deals. What kind of market has used perfumes? Are these flea markets or estate sales or something like that?

SOTE is Elixir des Merveilles gives me a feeling of "special."

The ones I post here I generally find at a big flea market, or at antique shops. Occasionally I'll find something nice at an op shop (or thrift shop in USian).

I left out the best find, because I didn't think you guys would know it. I found a full 50ml bottle of Prue Acton If EDP, in box. I did some research about this yesterday, and found this comment on Fragrantica:

In the 60s-70s Prue Acton was a leading Australian fashion designer. Between 1969-1976 she produced a line of fragrances manufactured in Melbourne. These are rare enough today to be considered museum pieces - the Museum of Victoria, for example, has several in its collection. I'd kill for a bottle of Prue Acton anything!

Have you tried it yet? I'd never heard of it.

I'll hold off opening it until I find out how rare it really is. Doesn't seem that special according to some ebay prices, so we'll see. I contacted the person I quoted above to seee if she can tell me more about it.

Prue Acton was a famous designer here. She designed the Australian team outfits for the Olympics during the 80s, but her cosmetics business crashed in the 70s. My bottle could not be any newer than 1976, when her cosmetics business folded.
